Man Charged with Child Grooming Offences in Woodbridge

A 57-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences, including attempting to meet with a child following grooming in Woodbridge. Police were called to Ferry Quay in Woodbridge just after 10am yesterday, Thursday 9 April.

Allegations were made by members of the public. Officers arrested John Dunne, of Lloyd Road in Melton.

Charges Filed

Dunne has been charged with the following offences: Attempting to meet a boy under 16 years of age following grooming; Facilitating the commission of a sexual assault of a child; and Three counts of assault by beating.

Dunne has been remanded in custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre. He is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday 11 April.
