Wrexham Murder Probe: Police Appeal for Dash Cam Footage

North Wales Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of 49-year-old Linas Buta in Wrexham. Mr Buta died with a head injury at a property on Bryn Glas, Rhos, on Friday, 27 March.

It is believed Mr Buta was involved in a physical altercation. This incident occurred around midday on Thursday, 26 March, on the Bonc Wen Car Park in Rhos.

Witness and Dash Camera Appeal

Police are widening their appeal for information. Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Rob Mahoney, is expanding his appeal for witnesses and dash camera footage. He said: “We are hoping to speak to anyone who was in the Bonc Wen Car Park area - as shown on the map below - on Thursday 26 March between midday and 12.15pm, or anyone who had a parked vehicle within the car park with a dash camera recording.

“We are also appealing to anyone with a dash camera who was driving along Wrexham Road in Rhostyllen on Thursday, 26 March between midday and 1pm to get in touch.”

Officer Statement

Detective Inspector Rob Mahoney added: “I am asking the community to continue to support officers as they make the necessary enquiries. Our thoughts remain with Linas’ family at this difficult time.”
