Two men from Ammanford have been jailed after being caught supplying Class A drugs in Swansea. Jac Cadman, 23, and Jamie Cook, 31, both from Carmarthenshire, received prison sentences following their identification by officers.
Officers on mobile patrol in Blaenymaes, Swansea, identified the pair on Friday March 13. Their vehicle was registered and insured to a provisional licence holder.
Suspicious behaviour within the vehicle prompted officers to carry out a Misuse of Drugs Act search.
A snap bag containing white powder was found in Cadman’s pocket. He also had £470 in cash and bank cards belonging to other people.
Four further snap bags of white powder were found in Cook’s possession. He also had £880 in cash.
The white powder was later confirmed to be cocaine. Three phones were also recovered, containing messages further tying the pair to the sale of Class A drugs.
Jac Cadman pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, and possession of criminal property. He has been sentenced to 28 months in prison.
Jamie Cook pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property. He has been sentenced to 40 months in prison.
Sergeant Luke Tucker said: "Both Jac Cadman and Jamie Cook will have felt great when they thought that their Class A drug dealing was going to net them a quick windfall. However, unfortunately for them, that feeling was quickly shattered when officers caught them in the act. Both will now follow in the footsteps of other drug dealers who have plagued the streets of Swansea as they rightfully head to prison.”
