Family Tribute Paid to Man Who Died After New Forest Collision

The family of 90-year-old Joseph ‘Joe’ Stanley have released a tribute after he died following a collision in the New Forest. The incident involved a white van and a pedestrian.

The collision occurred at around 5.10pm on Friday 28 November 2025. It happened along Hampton Lane, near Fawley and the junctions of Blackfield Road and Exbury Road.

Joseph ‘Joe’ Stanley was taken to hospital for treatment following the collision. He sadly died on 14 February this year.

His family are being supported by specialist officers. They have now released the following tribute to him: “Joe was taken far too soon. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers continue to investigate the collision. They would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or the events leading up to it. Police are particularly interested in anyone who has dashcam footage which may assist enquiries.
