Fatal Collision in Stoke-on-Trent: Police Appeal for Information

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Stoke-on-Trent. A pedestrian died after a collision with a black Skoda on the A500 at Porthill.

Officers were called to the scene at 7.30pm on Saturday 11 April. This followed reports of a man who came into collision with a black Skoda.

Sadly, the man, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the Skoda was not injured. The pedestrian was seen walking on the Middleport bound lane of the overbridge prior to the collision.

Police Appeal for Information

Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the area at the time to contact them.

Police are asking not to speculate on social media as to the circumstances of the incident and to show sensitivity to the relatives and friends of the victim at this difficult time.
