Witness appeal after motorcyclist dies in Caddington collision
Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Caddington last week.
The incident occurred shortly before 6:30 pm on Thursday 19 March 2026. Emergency services were called to Dunstable Road following reports of a collision involving a black Toyota Yaris and a silver Yamaha R1M motorcycle.
Fatal Injuries and Arrest
Despite the efforts of emergency services at the scene, the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was tragically pronounced dead shortly after the collision.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
Serious Collision Investigation
The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit has launched an enquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Detective Constable Felicity Walker said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the man who died at this sad time. We are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash cam footage to get in touch as any information may be able to assist our enquiries into the circumstances around this tragic collision.”

Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have captured the vehicles on dashcam to come forward.
