Witness appeal after life-threatening collision on A3072

Devon & Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A3072 that left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called to the scene between Holsworthy and Bude at 12.50pm on Saturday 14 March 2026. The collision involved two vehicles: a blue 125cc Lexmoto motorcycle and a red Mitsubishi Shogun.

Emergency Response

The motorcyclist, a woman in her 50s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The A3072 was closed for several hours to allow specialist officers to conduct an investigation at the scene. Police confirmed the road was reopened at 9.20pm and thanked the public for their patience during the closure.

Appeal for Evidence

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
