Fatal Doncaster Collision: Police Seek Witnesses, Dashcam

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses, footage, and information following a fatal road traffic collision in Doncaster.

The incident occurred at 12:05am today, Wednesday 8 of April 2026, on Chestnut Avenue, Carcroft.

It is reported that an orange Seat Leon was involved in a collision with a tree just after the junction with Langdale Road. Officers, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, and the Ambulance Service attended the scene.

Sadly, despite their best efforts, an 18-year-old man sadly died at the scene. His family are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital at this time. A second passenger, a 21-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries.

Police Appeal for Information

South Yorkshire Police stated: "If you witnessed the collision or believe you may have seen the vehicle matching the description in the area please get in touch online, via live chat or by calling 101 quoting incident number 2 of 8 of April 2026."

The police added: "You can report online here. You can submit dashcam footage here."
