Family pay tribute to 'beacon of joy' Miracle Oladoyinbo after fatal Grangetown collision

The family of a 16-year-old boy who died following a road traffic collision in Grangetown have paid a heartfelt tribute to a "beacon of joy and compassion."

Miracle Oladoyinbo died when the bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a SsangYong Tivoli. The incident occurred at the junction of Penarth Road and Clare Road at approximately 12.27pm on Wednesday 25 March 2026.

Tribute to a Gifted Musician

In a statement released through South Wales Police, Miracle’s family described him as a young man defined by his faith and musical talent. They said:

“Miracle Oladoyinbo was a beacon of joy and compassion, a 16-year-old whose life was defined by a profound love for God and an unwavering commitment to his faith. A gifted musician, he didn't just play music; he used his talents as a ministry to uplift spirits and bring comfort to everyone around him.

"To know Miracle was to be touched by his warmth and inspired by his grace. While his life was tragically cut short, the melody of his kind heart and the strength of his testimony will resonate forever in the hearts of the family and community who loved him so dearly.”

Ongoing Investigation

Roads policing officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the fatal collision. As part of their enquiries, they are urging anyone who was travelling through the Grangetown area at the time of the incident to check their vehicles for dashcam footage.

Residents and business owners with private CCTV that may have captured the collision or the moments leading up to it are also encouraged to review their recordings.

Appeal for Witnesses

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information is asked to contact South Wales Police.
