
The family of a 52-year-old man who died following a road traffic collision near Tickton have shared a heartfelt tribute, describing him as a "kind and gentle" individual.
Andrew Garnett tragically lost his life following the incident on the A1035 in the East Riding of Yorkshire earlier this week, on Tuesday 24 March 2026.
In a statement released through Humberside Police, Andrew’s family expressed the deep impact of their loss.
The tribute stated:
“Andrew was the kindest, most gentle and loving son, dad, brother, uncle and fiancé anyone could ever wish for. Adored and cherished by everyone who knew him, a huge void has forever been left in our hearts.”
Ongoing Investigation Humberside Police are continuing their enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
The force had previously issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward. Investigators are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have been travelling along the A1035 at the time of the incident or those who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.
