Father ends 15-year relationship with son after DNA test shocker

A 20-year-old man has detailed the "heartless" moment his father cut him completely out of his life after a DNA test proved he was not his biological son.

A life-changing discovery

The young man, who shared his story on Reddit, explained that the situation unfolded five years ago when his parents divorced.

His father discovered his mother had been unfaithful and subsequently demanded DNA tests for all four siblings to verify paternity.

The results confirmed that while the three younger children were biologically his, the eldest son—then 15—was not.

Thrown away like 'worthless s**t'

The son revealed that before the test, his father had been his "best friend" and the only father figure he had ever known, as his biological father died before his birth.

Despite raising him for 15 years, the man reportedly left without a "proper goodbye" and refuses to have even a casual relationship with him today.

"Dad is still the same exact dad he was to me to my little siblings, but he refuses to even just have a casual relationship with me now," the son wrote.

The emotional aftermath

The young man expressed deep resentment toward both parents, describing the experience as "the hardest thing I’ve ever been through."

He questioned how his father could be "heartless" enough to discard him simply because they did not share a biological connection.

Commenters on the post suggested the father may be acting out of spite toward the mother, with one adding: "You just happen to be the casualty, which is of course unfair."
